SUPER WASH Hand Dyed wool with Love
Our KUSI fine 4 Ply yarns are spun from 50% alpaca and 50% acrylic. It has a silky, luxurious texture similar to all our Alpaca yarns but with the added durability and strength that acrylic brings.
Available in hand-dyed, variegated colours.
The Alpaca has to cope with the scorching daytime temperatures and the sub-zero night time temperatures of the Andes, which gives their wool incredibly unique properties.
The wool is a hollow fiber, which makes it incredibly breathable. This means that while it’s incredibly warm in the winter, it’s still lightweight enough to wear during the hotter months.
Our yarn isn’t treated with chemicals during the manufacturing process so you can be sure that what you’re getting is 100% natural.
Double Knit alpaca yarns are approximately 105 metres over 50g. We recommend 4mm needles for standard stocking stitch (21-22 stitches and 27-29 rows to 10 cm).
